TAJÊ distributes 2000 tree seedlings to be planted on April 4 in Shengal
The Yazidi Free Women’s Movement (Kurdish: Tevgera Azadiya Jinên Êzîdî-TAJÊ) distributed 2000 tree seedlings in Shengal to be planted on April 4, the birthday of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The Yazidi Free Women’s Movement (Kurdish: Tevgera Azadiya Jinên Êzîdî-TAJÊ) distributed 2000 tree seedlings in villages and town of Shengal to be planted on April 4, the birthday of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan. In addition, women planted trees on Mount Sinjar to mark the birthday of Abdullah Öcalan.
‘April 4 is the birthday of not only leader Apo but also ours’
After planting the trees, Hediye Nasir, member of the Women’s Council of Shengal’s Sinun town, made a speech saying, “Today, we came here to plant trees in our villages and towns. We will grow our struggle for the physical freedom of leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan). We hope to celebrate our leader’s birthday next year with him. We planted and we will plant hundreds of trees to celebrate his birthday. We call on all people to plant trees on his birthday. April 4 is the birthday of not only leader Apo but also ours. So, we wish a happy birthday to all Yazidi people.”
