<\/p>\nThe genocide committed against the Yazidi community by ISIS in 2014 will enter its 11th anniversary on August 3, 2025.<\/p>\n
The Yazidi Free Women’s Movement (Kurdish: Tevgera Azadiya Jin\u00ean \u00caz\u00eed\u00ee-TAJ\u00ca) has issued a press statement to mark the 11th anniversary of the genocide.<\/p>\n
The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), the Iraqi government and the Turkish state continue to commit genocidal policies against the Yazidis, the movement said in the statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs leader Apo says, \u2018Such massacres and genocides in human history will never be forgotten. If they are forgotten, it means the conscience of humanity is damaged.\u2019 As the Yazidi women, we will never forget this genocide and never let it be forgotten. We will never give up demanding justice or resisting,\u201d said Suham \u015eengal\u00ee.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the Yazidi women, we have been<\/p>\n
waging a struggle for justice for 10 years and we will keep struggling until those responsible for the genocide are held accountable. Although 11 years have passed, the aftermath of thousands of Yazidi people, women and children remains un<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
known. This fermana sp\u00ee (English: White Genocide) still continues. Those who continue this genocide are the KDP, the Iraqi government and the Turkish state. As Yazidi women, we will never forget the betrayal of the KDP against our community. The KDP uses all kinds of dirty methods to send rescued Yazidi women to European countries. The KDP still does not allow our people to return to their homeland.\u201d<\/p>\n
Suham \u015eengal\u00ee highlighted that the \u201cCall for Peace and Democratic Society\u201d of Kurdish leader Abdullah \u00d6calan \u201cis a response to the genocide\u201d and called on the Yazidi people to unite in order to make their voice heard all around the world.<\/p>\n
The movement will hold activities and events to commemorate those who were killed in the genocide.<\/p>\n
The program of the movement is as follows:<\/p>\n
July 8: A statement titled \u201cI want to visit Abdullah \u00d6calan\u201d will be issued.<\/p>\n
July 20-21: A seminar will be held on the genocide.<\/p>\n
July 24: A commemoration ceremony will be held<\/p>\n
