The Yazidi Women’s Freedom Movement (TAJ\u00ca) held a meeting to address the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah \u00d6calan and called for increased struggle for the physical freedom of \u00d6calan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Yazidi Women’s Freedom Movement (TAJ\u00ca) held a meeting to discuss the aggravated isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah \u00d6calan who has been held in aggravated isolation in Imrali Island Prison since his capture and abduction to Turkey as a result of an international conspiracy in February 1999.<\/p>\n

Dozens of women attended the meeting held in Duhla on Thursday. TAJ\u00ca member Pakize Celal delivered a speech at the meeting which started following a minute of silence. Celal talked about the Yazidi massacre on August 3, 2014.\u00a0 \u201cAt that time, the whole world turned a blind eye to us. But \u00d6calan sent his disciples to protect us. The enemy now wants to carry out a new massacre. Yet, we have established our forces based on \u00d6calan\u2019s ideas, we are organized, and we are not afraid of anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celal recalled that no information on \u00d6calan\u2019s condition in prison had been received for a long time and stressed that, as the people of Shengal, they were ready to do their best to break his isolation. She called on the people of Shengal to stand up for \u00d6calan’s physical freedom and increase the struggle to this end.<\/p>\n

Celal emphasized that \u00d6calan\u2019s disciples took care of everyone in Shengal, and the Shengal people should embrace him in return. \u201cThe isolation imposed on \u00d6calan is getting aggravated gradually. \u00d6calan is punished with isolation\u00a0since he is considered responsible for the liberation of the Yazidis,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

A female citizen named Meyan \u015eengali took the floor and said: \u201cWe have risen with the ideas and thoughts of \u00d6calan, became organized and got to know our friends and enemies. As the Yazidi people, we will never forget those who helped us and those others who did evil to us. We hope that \u00d6calan will regain his physical freedom and meet Yazidi mothers on Mount Shengal.\u201d<\/p>\n
